About OHEJ
Ohioans for Health, Environment and Justice (OHEJ) is an initiative of the Center for Health, Environment and Justice (CHEJ). Its general purpose is to provide Ohioans a means for building statewide grassroots power to act on concerns of interest to Ohioans. OHEJ is a volunteer association of representatives from the social justice, civil rights, environmental, faith-based, and organized labor communities and an emerging list of other groups with similar interests.
The Partners of OHEJ seek to act collectively to promote a statewide environmental justice policy through legislative, executive and/or regulatory reforms that will lead to healthy and just communities for all Ohioans. Partners share a common interest in the role of advocacy and grassroots organizing as key strategic methods to accomplishing shared objectives. Partners hold up values of transparency, democratic participation, and accountability in OHEJ’s emerging culture.
OHEJ are accountable to a constituency. They are informed by their constituency and inform their constituency and seek their support in OHEJ’s interests. In a cultue of transparency and democratic participation OHEJ’s interests are defined. If you seek a Just Ohio and If OHEJ’s vision, values, and virtues resonate with your organization join us on this journey to justice in Ohio. |
